I've been going to Spa Christene for over 2 years now. I have to admit, before Spa Christine I had been going to Super Cuts, Cost Cutters, Master Cuts etc since graduating from college. I have super easy and manageable hair and since i Was just keeping it long i didnt feel the need to spend money on a high end Boston Salon. Well, in my late 20's I decided it was time to spruce things up. I had recently purchased a condo in Southie so i did some investigative work and decided to try Spa Christine. My first appointment was with Larry one of the owners. He kept me entertained and laughing the entire time. I had no clue what I wanted but I gave him some basic requirements: nothing drastic and I need to be able to pull it back to work out. Larry gave me a fabulous cut shaped around my face. The cut concluded with his signature mark: a quick shoulder massage! what could be better! I got rave reviews, everyone LOVED my hair. My next appointment I called but Larry was completely booked. Not to fret, Ariel cut my hair and again it was awesome. I've been going to Ariel ever since. I have recommended several people to Ariel and everyone loves what she is able to do with their hair.\r

The spa upstairs is also incredible. I tend to get the 1 hour massage every time I schedule a hair cut. The staff is extremely talented and professional and the massage is very modestly priced for Boston. This past summer I treated myself to a facial and it was sensational and so relaxing! \r

I have purchased gift certificates to the salon for several friends and everyone is so appreciateive. and speaking of gifts, the front end of the salon is a wonderful boutique with everything from creative and unique baby gifts to humerous and witty cocktail napkins. They have something for everyone on your list.
