This is my first review. I ate at Riverview Restaurant on Valentine's Day. Generally, when eating out at a ""nice"" restaurant, I'm disappointed. Either the food isn't good or it's over-priced. Or maybe the service isn't topnotch, or the music is too loud. But I was far from disappointed at Riverview. We had a five-course meal. Every course was fabulous, but I particulary remember the Belgium endive boat appetizer, the flaky and perfectly-cooked halibut and crab entree, and the peach pie... That dessert was heaven on earth. What I really appreciated, too, was the portion sizes. I was full by the end of the meal, but not stuffed. In the words of Baby Bear, it was just right.\r

As we ate, the piano player in the middle of the room played requests from the patrons. The music was just loud enough to enjoy, without distracting from our table conversation. The talented pianist walked around the restaurant during his breaks, visiting with patrons--he was a delight to talk to.\r

This was a very nice dining experience. Next time I'm in town, I'll visit this restaurant again.
