I stayed at this hostel for a week last spring when I just moved from Upstate New York. It was the cheapest hostel I could find in the city and decided to stay there despite the bad reviews posted online. ISC turned out to be a great place to stay. The bathrooms are very clean and the front desk ladies are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about places to visit in NYC. I made friends with several European guys who shared the same room with me. I still keep in touch with them and I was glad that I chose this hostel. ISC is located at a strategic area and it is only 2 or 3 minutes to the subway station and Central Park. I strongly recommend those with limited budget to stay at ISC.
