The Memphis Benihana was a huge disappointment. Our chef didn't do any of the knife-juggling, fire-burning tricks that you typically see in Japanese teppanyaki restaurants. The food was ok, but not great, especially considering the price. The drinks were good. It was extremely crowded b/c they were overbooked. We waited for a half-hour despite having reservations. The Benihana is Chicago is 10 times better. I would recommend Shogun if you are looking for a good Japanese restaurant in Memphis.
Pros: Good drinks
Cons: Chefs don't do many tricks. Food only average.
