My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner at La Fogata. It is so hard to find good Mexican food. La Fogata is located in a strip mall but don't judge it by its location. We went on a Saturday evening and were seated promptly. Our server brought us our menus and took our drink orders immediately. We were brought chips and salsa that were both home made. My wifes margarita was served in a huge goblet. I had a Dos Equis, on tap. Our food arrived surprisingly quickly for a busy night. This is usually a sign that a microwave is in use in the kitchen. Not the story at La Fogata. We each ordered combination plates. My wife had a taco and tostada. I had a chimichanga, relleno and taco. The food was wonderful. Fresh tasting. Good sized portions but not so much that any was wasted. I was especially thrilled that my plate had a large serving of both sour cream and guacamole, ordinarily you get a small dollop of one or the other and get charged for guacamole. We both ordered the shredded beef in our meals. It was very moist and flavorful. Our entire dinner totaled less then $33. The service was friendly. Decor was pleasant. Bathrooms were clean. If quality food is what you want along with good service and nice atmosphere La Fogata is the place to go.
