I had visited an emergency room at a local hospital one Saturday afternoon and was incorrectly diagnosed with bronchitis and given steroids. The following Saturday night, right as my medications ran out, my chest closed up again and I couldn't breathe. I had recently moved to the Southern New Jersey area and didn't have a local doctor yet, but needed urgent help. I was on a limited insurance policy from my college and knew another trip to an expensive hospital was out of the question. I researched quickly and came upon information on the Urgent Care office, and found great reviews. I made my way over, and within 10 minutes of arrival I was seen and treated for an apparent asthma attack. The doctor and nurses took great care in treating me with the necessary steps. The office recommended me a local doctor that had history in treating difficult to diagnose breathing issues. He has since confirmed the Urgent Care office's diagnosis, that after not having a history of asthma for my 26 years of life, I now had asthma! I have been medicated and feeling great since. The emergency room I had visited a week before urgent care was quick to diagnose (incorrectly), very informal with details coming from me, and quick to administer expensive tests that came to an incorrect conclusion. Urgent Care and Dr. Gaffney were eager to listen to my story, take everything into account, and treat me accordingly. Best of all, I was charged FAR FAR less for better treatment than a hospital! I strongly recommend this facility to everyone before taking an unnecessary trip to a hospital and spending unnecessary amounts of money. Thank you Urgent Care!
