I got my son dressed up tonight and headed over to Joslyns for class. I saw 8 other parents come call, go. The thing is we all got our kids dressed to go to Karate only to find the school closed. No teachers showed up so apparently the management called them. I looked on the door no note, came home "No message" looked at web site "NO message" called School "No message" How were we to figure out the school was closed except to pull on the door to make sure it was closed. There is no excuse for this behavior.
So AM I to read their minds to figure out they are closed. Sure it snowed in Auburn at 4am and schools closed for the day. By 4pm it was fine and many parents ventured out to Karate. Most people drive over 30 minutes one way invcluding myself. We just wasted over an hour each. There is also that time to get ready for class and in uniform.
This is a very unprofessional organization. They call and inform us of every parade they want the kids in but can't use their phone to let customers know they will not be open.
A formal appology to all parents would be appropriate. A phone call to apologize or something. I bet as time goes on we will hear nothing as if nothing went on. We definatly will not renew this year. WE have been at Joslyns over 4 years.
I also am upset about their charge. You are aloyal customer for years bring in new people and at the end of the year your contract renews automatically with an increase in payment.
Now I would think they would keep their older customers by locking them in on a rate. Then introduce new people in at a higher rate. But no they insist that the older customers must pay more and more.
Pros: The teachers are great
Cons: Don't let customers know when they will close. Leave us in t
