I came to Dr. Geraci at the recommendation of a good friend when I noticed an odd change in my handwriting that over a couple days did not go away, got worse. Karpel tunnel? Sleeping on my arm wrong? No. Dr. Geraci correctly and quicky diagnosed what had been a minor stroke, completely unnoticed on my part.. \r
\r
What immediately followed was five unexpected days in the hospital, making sure a small stroke did not become a major one as a series of tests and harrowing major surgery were undertaken. With bad news a possibility, Dr. Geraci walked me through every step of the way, what it meant and what might be done. As test results began to come in, again he explained ""what might be next"" as well as ""what it wasn't."" \r
\r
Ultimately Dr. Geraci's original diagnosis was absolutely correct. A minor stroke. Not a tumor. Not an abcess as other doctors had thought. At his direction, a month of physical therapy and care lead to recovery and full use of my upper right arm and leg that weeks before had gone completely limp. \r
\r
Throughout this experience, the worst of it was the ""what if"". Dr. Geraci explained what ""might be"" meant in a kind, complete and simple way without drama or false hope, as we waited for a definitive diagnosis. I'm certain that my recovery was due to his expertise and uncomplicated support. \r

I have been HIV+ for 16 years. While this had nothing to do with the stroke, I have moved all my health care needs to Dr. Geraci and Dr. Carpenter. Thorough, one-stop health care. Now if they only had a personal shopper....
Pros: Considerate, committed care.
Cons: None. Absolutely none.
