Some friends and I went to Church and State for their 'Church Dinner' special: $39 for 3 courses plus a dessert tray for the table. Every course was better than the last. We started with fresh bread topped by bacon butter, followed by squash soup, salad, and alternately the fried chicken, steak and bouillabaisse. From tasty surprises (the cauliflower with cream sauce was amazing and unexpected) to the great ambiance you really can't go wrong with this gem downtown.
