Michael is the most innovative and creative Japanese chef in the Northeast (yes, this includes NY). I give this restaurant a 5-star, hands down. Just had my 50th birthday there with friends and they put on an unbeatable feast. Very reasonably priced, and amazing food. I can't even imagine that someone could have given them a negative review - not possible in my book.
