Bodiscience is a place I am able to focus on me so that I may be a better person. Is this an exaggeration for a Spa?
Perhaps, but hear me out.
When I walk through the door I am surrounded by warmth and friendliness. The first contact is with a wonderful lady, Dorothy. She always offers a kind and genuine greeting and I am often amazed at how she is able to take a moment to acknowledge me amongst her many responsibilities.
From the reception area I am guided to the transition room-and wow, what a fabulous idea. It is a peaceful room with beautiful décor. It invites me to unwind. It bids me to forget, albeit for only a short time, about the worries and concerns of life.
From the transition room, I am guided to my treatment room where I have never received a bad treatment. I may prefer some treatments over others but that is simply preference...the staff is always professional and excellent.
After the treatment, I am greeted in the transition room by my esthetician and a pleasant cup of tea or water-my choice. We chat for a couple of minutes about any concerns I have or suggestions she might have. Then I am encouraged to remain in the transition room until I am ready to leave.
Without fail, while I am sitting there my brain tries to start up again. It tries to think about the outside world, but the treatment always leave me in such a state, that I am able to say no-for just a bit longer-and just be. Just sit, exist, and be grateful for my life. It is a quiet and tranquil time when I realize that I have just been “re-energized” and “re-centered”. It is a moment where I realize, I am not an aunt, a co-worker, a wife or the myriad of other labels I multi-task, but I am simply a person, taking time for me.
Pros: Atmosphere, professionalism, services, products, knowledge..
