I see that the previous review for this place is from August 2009. Indeed summer 2009 is roughly the last time I visited Sushi & Maki (lunch) and had nothing really bad to say about the place (not great but it was OK esp. for a quick lunch) up until now. My most recent visit changed it all. What a precipitous fall in quality! My wife & I ordered 2 salmon bento dishes. I probably would've not noticed the funny tasting salmon (given that it was in teriyaki sauce) but the spoiled ginger (strong earthly/soil taste) triggered the initial alarms. We also ordered two rolls which were simply unfresh - strong fishy (think herring here) odor on what was salmon & tuna -type rolls. Sour flavor. Slimy texture. To top off the mistake of the week, the service was indifferent & border lining rude. This is inexcusable in a place like the suburbs of Portland, with so many other lunch (even sushi) options. What a waste of money this was! \r
