We've been here a couple of times. The first experience was better than the second.\r

On the first visit, I had the brisket sandwich which was wonderful. The brisket practically melted in my mouth. My husband had a steak sandwich which was good but nothing special. Service was good.\r

On the second visit, I again ordered the brisket, but it wasn't quite as good as it was the first time. Still, it was tasty. Service on the second visit was quite slow - we must have waited a good 15-20 minutes after we were seated before anyone came to take our order. It probably took another 15 or 20 minutes to get our food. We ordered BBQ - it is already cooked - it shouldn't take that long to slice it and put it on a plate.\r

My main complaint about Goodwood is the noise level. It's all you can do to have a conversation with the person sitting across the table from you. Maybe they do this on purpose to get people to leave faster, but it makes the dining experience much less pleasant.\r

I don't want to downgrade to 3 stars, but I'm not sure it really rates a 4 either. If you like BBQ, it's worth a visit, but be prepared to wait and to deal with the noise. They do offer take-out and I think we might do that next time.
Pros: Tasty food
Cons: Noisy and crowded, mediocre service
