Beware! 12/1/2009

Lots of weird stuff has been coming to light at NCF. I attended the church over 20 years ago under its original pastor, who's since left. I then started going again over the last few years, but finally left along with lots of other people. Since the new senior pastor took over, attendance has dropped from thousands to barely 30 on Sunday mornings due to things that I, along with others, saw. For example: * One remaining elder/pastor taught in a new member?s class that water baptism is not a sacrament for Christians (Robin Bayles, Feb. 2007). When questioned by incredulous members of that class, he emphatically and repeatedly asserted his view and that it also was the official position of New Covenant Fellowship. * Another remaining elder/pastor, in a monograph on ?What We Believe? which he wrote for the church to give to new believers, denies the existence of hell and eternal punishment for the unsaved (Donald Ponikvar, Spring 2009). * That same monograph also embraces the heresy of the New Testament ?Judaizers? by proclaiming that Christians must become integrated back into Old Testament Judaism (Donald Ponikvar, Spring 2009). * The third remaining elder/pastor explicitly taught in a Sunday sermon the profoundly heretical view that God lacks foreknowledge and doesn?t see the future ? thus publicly denying Christianity?s twin foundational doctrines of God?s transcendence and His omniscience (Bob McCaig, Oct. 2009). Pros: Use to be a great church Cons: Now has weird, cultict practices and beliefs more
