Let me state up front that I am one onf the owners of The Chocolate Bar and I understand that my opinion may be perceived as somewhat biased. I believe there were 2 errors made during this person's visit. The first is that he/she was misinformed by one of our staff members; for which I take full responsibility. The second is that there is considerable misinterpretation by the reviewer. Here are the FACTS: Our chocolate covered strawberries are made fresh several times each day. Every morning, the opening Chocolatier pulls ALL of the strawberries from the previous day. There is almost no way there can be any mold on a strawberry that has been in our store for less than 24 hours. Once the strawberries from the previous day have been pulled, they are brought into the kitchen, chopped and immediately frozen for use in Snowberry ice cream; which is one of our largest selling ice creams. In 9 years of business, no one to our knowledge has ever become ill. Again, the strawberries are not stale! I am very sorry that this reviewer had a negative experience. I hope that he/she will return to THe Chocolate Bar. Fortunately, the majority of our reviews from EVERYWHERE are glowing. We work very hard to achieve a positive experience for everyone.
