Ah, the Record Exchange...I have been visiting this place since 1987. I have seen many iterations of the store, ch-ch-ch-changes, and many wonderful employees over the years. For a town like Boise which is fairly bland, the Record Exchange offers a bit of spice. The still hold true to their name, offering a good amount of vinyl, however these days most of the stuff on the shelves is in CD format. Other record shops have come and gone downtown (6th & Main had one, 13th & Main as well) but the Record Exchange has outlived and outshone them all. Yay for the Record Exchange...as long as there's music.
Pros: Ambiance, friendly local atmosphere, knowledgable staff
Cons: Selection is lacking but hey, this is Boise.
