This is the only ""meat market"" I have ever been to that is happy to sell what's in the case but will not cut meat to order. The 1st time I asked for about about a 3 to 4 lb. bone-in pork loin & was rudely told by the meat cutter that they come in 15-20 lb bags & he asked, ""Do you want something that big""? I brought this to the owner's attn. & he assured me that they do cut meat when requested by customers so I gave them another chance. The 2nd visit after that experience they had prime rib on sale & I asked if they could cut a couple of ribs off of 1 of the roasts in the case (since my wife & I don't need an 8 lb. roast) & I was told, ""We really don't do that"". Oddly enough, the meat dept. @ Publix right across PIB has always been happy to custom cut meat & their quality is excellent. Who'd have thought that you'd get better customer service buying meat @ a supermarket than a family owned meat market? I will not be back to Patton's.
