I should have wrote this a month ago when I had my cat in to see this so called Doctor but I am just now getting to it. Me and my husband just moved up from Kentucky to Lansing with our cat Gabby and decided to take her to Ailurophile since they were just cats, BIG MISTAKE! First thing I noticed when I walked in was how dirty and unkept the waiting room was (files and papers all over the desks, dirt, and cat hair everywhere!) there were cats running loose all over the place which made my cat VERY uncomfortable. They seemed to be very understaffed, only one poor girl there working the desk, the back, and everything else. When I arrived there were no other customers there yet it took the Doctor almost a half hour to finally come in and see my cat. When he came in I was shocked and kind of scared, his scrubs were all torn up and the top was on inside out he looked like he had just crawled out of bed, long hair was all messy, he just seemed very unprofessional! The exam he did with my cat however was very good he spent alot of time checking every square inch of her, gave her vaccines, and decided she needed some geriatric blood work done, which I agreed to for the health of my cat. The young girl working up front came and took my cat to the back to get blood, all of the sudden I heard my cat screaming bloody murder and things crashing onto the floor, I then heard the doctor screaming and throwing stuff all over telling that poor girl how f-ing dumb she was! then I swear I heard my cat make like a choking cough sound, it was beyong aweful I wanted to grab my poor Gabby and run out of there! It took nearly another half hour just to get my cat back from where ever they took her. When the Dr. brought her back in she was panting, her legs were bloody and she looked beyond stressed, and the Dr acted all chipper and nice like nothing had happened. They tried to get me to do a dental on her, HECK NO! I refused to leave her there with them alone ( I did have it done at our current clinic though) To top it all off on my way out of the exam room they have window seat for customers and cats to sit on, well there was some very sickly looking grey cat pooping all over the one right outside my door! I hope whatever that cat had he didnt give it to Gabby! So I paid my outrageous bill and left never to return. The one girl on staff was very friendly and caring but obviously overwhelmed, but the Dr was just rude, unprofessional, and obviously out of control with his anger. I would say if you love your cat - DO NOT take it to Ailurophile!
Pros: The only pro is that is only cats.
Cons: dirty - rude - uncaring - unproffesional
