When going to the banfield at petsmart for my maltipoos ear infection they told me she was underweight at 11 lbs. When going back for the check we went to a different vet at the banfield and she told us she was over weight after gainning one pound. Let me just say yes, her coat is very thick and long. But for a certified vet (who was not from this country) to tell me she was overweight i was astonished. When bringing her to the groomers after being shaved and her fur was a about a half inch long we told our groomer who recommended we didnt go back and gave us another vet to go to. I refuse to bring her back their, if you cant tell the diference between a thick coat and being fat you shouldnt have your license. BE AWARE!!!! always get a second oppinion!
