This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. My friends and I made a reservation weeks in advance, for 5 people. When we arrived, on time, they proceeded to show us to a square table made for four people, where they had squeezed in a fifth chair. I was practically sitting on top of the man at the next table, but they told us this was a ""five-person table"" when it obviously was not.
Next, when we ordered, they started making up ridiculous food minimums for how much we had to order. None of this was printed on the menu, and we ended up being forced to order much more food than we wanted, because if we didn't, they threatened to KICK OUT anyone at our table who didn't meet their minimum.
Then, when the bill came, they dropped it on our table, and told us that they had included the gratuity. However, their menu CLEARLY states that gratuity will be added ""for parties of 6 or more"" and we were five people. When we asked to see a menu, they basically threw it at us, and then said ""yeah, well sometimes we do it for 5 people too."" They are rude liars, and with so many great BYO's in Philly, I would recommend that you try any other restaurant before coming here.
