If you absolutely love seafood with a South-of-the-Border flare, don’t come here. God, I wish we’d tried Mixteca instead. I ordered the Shrimp combination plate (comes with a shrimp taco, enchilada, and chalupa). The shrimp had the taste boiled right out of it and was about as al dente as early-morning phlegm. To counter the fact that their shrimp cooking abilities amount to that of a package of ramen noodles, they drowned everything in one sauce or another. The taco’s “sauce” tasted a day or two this side of rancid and the enchilada sauce (cheesy) tasted like an under salted butter roux. I make better enchiladas with leftover chicken fajita meat and Velveeta. To make matters worse, something in the mix twisted my guts up real nice, so I had to skip dinner in a seafood paradise. If you are ever driving down the Seawall with a hunger for Mexican food gnawing your gut and you see Salsa’s, keep on driving.
Pros: Great coke!
Cons: Horrible shrimp
