The care my mother received this past summer was adequate, but she still was released and admitted to Palmetto General a week later for the same problem. The issue has more to do with her not being able to have her own doctor see her at Palm Springs because it is private, so it was more time consuming and wasteful for her to be there in the first place. \r
There was however an X-ray technician, Jose DeJesus who should be commended for his sensitivity, professionalism, and genuine concern for the patients there. He was called upstairs on the 6th floor to X-ray my mother from bed, as she was fairly immobile, and there was a woman across the hall screaming, "Help me" for at least 45 minutes that I observed. Maybe nurses or aides had checked on her but that did not seem apparent and she was creating quite the loud and uncomfortable setting for the other patients and visitors.
