Over promise, under deliver 10/21/2009

My classes were taught at both the Greenville and the Columbia offices. \r The Negative Points: \r My experience with New Horizon in Greenville can best be described as ""over promise, under deliver"". They were completely unprepared and disorganized throughout the entire class program. The classes which consisted of two 5-day classes and two 3-day classes were shortened by the instructor to.... two 4-day and two 2-day classes. Due to this shortening of the classes, much of the course content was either glossed over or completely omitted. Two of the classes could not even be finished in the weeks which they were scheduled since they were shortened. The reason given by the instructor why the classes were shortened was that since there were only 1 or 2 students in the classes then the course content could be taught faster. That was not the case since we ran out of time for the classes and didn't finish. The instructor would make up some of the missed content the following week during the beginning of the next course (a totally different course), which then made us late getting started on that course. It was a domino effect. Additionally, a Microsoft certified practice test (bearing the MS certified logo) was supposed to be provided to help prepare students for the exam. It was not. Instead, a poorly written mutiple choice ""practice test"" was provided that one of the sales reps found online. This ""practice test"" had many incomplete questions, incomplete answers to choose from, typos and information not covered in any of the classes. Even the title of the ""practice test"" at the very beginning of the exam was incomplete as if it had been chopped off. I finished the classes weeks ago and I'm still waiting on a Microsoft certified practice test, so that I can properly prepare to take my exam. Additionally, the sales rep was extremely rude on several occasions. He also appeared inexperienced and rarely could provide answers. Finally, the Columbia office had a severe cockroach problem but otherwise was clean. \r \r \r The Positive Points: \r The staff at the Columbia office was extremely friendly and helpful! The Columbia staff was truly a delite.\r The instructor, who was from the Columbia office, was very knowledgable on the courseware.\r I was the only student in two of my classes and the instructor commuted to Greenville for most of those classes to teach me one-on-one. \r The Greenville office was clean.\r They provided free coffee and cookies\r Pros: one-on-one training for two of the 4 classes Cons: Disorganized, unprepared, rude sales rep, cockroaches more
