Not worth the price. 10/20/2009

I just went to Fargo Cattle Co tonight with my daughter. We wanted to try the local steakhouse for our monthly girl's night out! We ordered potato skins ($6.99) for an appetizer. For her main meal, my daughter ordered the junior sirloin with fries and drink ($5.99 + $2.29=$8.28). I ordered the 12 oz ribeye with fettuccine and soup of the day (clam chowder) as the sides and a coke to drink ($18.99+$3.99,charged extra for soup even though it should have come with the meal, + $2.29=$25.27). The total cost for my 8 year old and myself, including tax, $44.09. Oh, I also forgot to mention that when I ordered my daughter's meal, I had to tell the waitress that the fries came with it. We started to get charged extra for that as well. The steak was great. The soup and fettuccine weren't hot enough and the taste was okay at best. Portions were small for the price. If I'm paying $44.09 for 1.5 people to eat, I expect better quality. Basically, I wasn't impressed. When it was time to leave, the waitress put the ticket on our table without a payment holder or anything. We looked for her to ask where to pay but, we ended up waiting for her for a few minutes at the front door. Heck, if we didn't feel like paying, I guess we could have walked right out. No one paid any attention to us until another waitress walked up and asked if we were being helped. Then our waitress finally showed up and took my card to process the payment. I was hoping to have a local restaurant to frequent with my children. I guess I'll have to drive the distance to Raleigh or Knightdale next time. Pros: Not far from home Cons: High price for par or sub-par food, service horrible. more
