thekatierthebetter doesn't know what she's talking about 10/31/2009

This is a totally inaccurate description of the Daily Co-op. I have been going there for years now and I haven't met anyone who fits the description given by thekatierthebetter. In fact, Daily is one of the most laid-back, unpretentious places I know. If you want pretentious, try going to Earth Fare or Whole Foods. I agree that it's expensive, but it's incredibly rude (and untrue) to write customers off as superficial rich kids. And sure there's no parking lot--but there are always empty parking spots on the street either in front of or behind the store. And it's in a historic neighborhood, so having a parking lot is not only ridiculous, but also impossible. I have never experienced any preaching or pamphleteering at the co-op, so I don't know where that criticism is coming from. And for your information, the co-op does accept Food Stamps, so no one is going to get ""really scared"" if you ask them about that. The co-op is a real community, filled with friendly and accepting people of diverse backgrounds. Maybe thekatierthebetter should sign up for a volunteer shift so she can actually meet some of these people. And then she would be getting a 20% discount, so maybe she could stop whining about the cost. Pros: good food, nice people more
