These people say that they want your business but whine and moan about how they're taking a loss to meet your price (which was a very reasonable offer.) One salesperson suggested that I sell some of my personal belongings in order to make up the difference in what I was offering and what they would offer. It was even suggested to me by a salesperson to commit tax fraud by purchasing the car with an address in another state where I used to live that had no sales tax. I was shopping during Breast Cancer Awareness month and the dealership was donating $$$ for every car sold (which is a good thing!) but the salesperson kept referring to this as an additional loss to them that I had to take into consideration with the price I was offering, suggesting that I had to make up the difference they were ""loosing"" donating money to fight Breast Cancer. They were very uninformed about the cars they were selling (didn't know the difference between a Subaru Forester and an Outback) and very unprofessional in the way they dealt with us. They kept asking for a ""verbal commitment"" (which means absolutely nothing) before they would ""waste time"" negotiating a lower price. Consequently they will not be receiving our business.
Pros: Only Subaru dealer in Nashville
Cons: Stereotypical car salesperson strategies and attitudes
