Ok so me and some friends made the day drip down from LA and I had eaten mexican food right up and down the west coast, from Seattle to San Francisco and then this, and I have to say this was by far my favourite. It wasn't exactly cheap but for the money we paid, I would easily do it again. I had some money to burn as I was leaving for home in 4 days so I bought lunch for me and two friends. We couldnt decide what we wanted when our waiter came over so he suggested we get 3 of their most popular dishes, and an unlimited supply of tortillas. What we got was a delicious lamb shoulder that had been slow roasted for 24 hours, some beef, some chicken and a bunch of condiments like rice, refried beans, guacamole, and a bunch of other things. We also got a whole lot of Pepsi. The service was great, our waiter was friendly and very quick with drink refills and he was up for a good chat too which was nice. All up i think it cost me about $75 to feed the three of us but this amount of food could easily have fed 5-6 adults and we still had some left over, so it worked out to be pretty good value. We had 6 or 7 torillias each and were absolutely stuffed, and we are no birds when it comes to food, having conquered 14 burgers at wendys in previous days, this was a great feast that I wont be forgetting, I often even dream about eating here again, its seriously that good. I will definately be going back next time I am in San Diego.
Pros: Delicious food, good traditional style, friendly service
Cons: Didn't have the time or room to finish my meal.
