I would highly advise against going to this place. I went in for a 6 month cleaning and Dr. Sabbagh-Fard did nothing but look at my x-rays (which are not near the quality of x-rays from other offices by the way, despite the "modern stuff"), look (not touch) my teeth, and tell me that everything was good. A dental assistant then gave me a polishing. That was it. I have never had a 6 month cleaning where plaque was not even scraped, or teeth checked for cavities. His explanation was that I had a deep cleaning 6 months ago and he wanted the gums to heal, so he didn't want to touch them (!). Well, I did some research and talked to some other dentists, and the consensus is that gums typically heal after a week or 2 at the most. 6 months? I don't think so. I don't even want to speculate on his motives for not doing any type of actual cleaning. If you still decide to go this dentist, I would highly recommend doing some research on your own on whatever diagnosis or explanation for work you are given... Just a couple side notes. When I asked to get a copy of my x-rays emailed to me (they're digital), I was told that they do not have an Internet connection. Really? A high-tech office without the Internet? Where does the email from the website go to? Hmmm. Instead I was charged $35 for hard copies that my new dentist said weren't of good enough quality to even use. It should have been a warning sign when I saw that the doors of the office (front and back) are always open. What kind of a medical office keeps their doors open so dust and debris and who knows what else can blow in? Doesn't seem to be conducive to a sterile environment... By the way, I ended up getting a real cleaning from the Premiere Dental Group in Marina Del Rey a few days later (Yelp review forthcoming after a few more visits). Excellent experience. Very informative and helpful staff, and very clean environment. And yes, they did scrape a normal amount of plaque from my teeth. Only downside is you have to pay for parking unless you want to walk a block or so...
