I have lived by the Beach my entire life, and I always , always, go to seafood restaurants.\r
On friday after New Years, I took a Day trip to Long Beach, New York. There were four of us, and we found our way to the West End of Long Beach, after a stop at the Long Beach Pier One Super Sale. When asked, the Pier One employees highly recommended going to the Whale's Tale, in the West End.[ I assumed it must family ]\r
Of we go to find the Whale's Tale. The outside was small, but it looked very seaside-ish (is that a word)When we went in,WOW, what a great looking place....All the walls had great murals...and mounted Game fish. The Place Looked Spectacular. Now if the food was any good, this would be a home run....\r
We ordered Clam chowder,Chillian Sea bass,Lobster Raviolis, and a Large Seafood Paella, with large Chunks of Lobster. The food was fantastic..The desserts were better than the main course. I was told all the desserts were made in house. They were great. We all ordered something different and we all shared.\r
This place was a Grand Slam in both food and Decor.....\r
\r
On the downside, we were there about 5:30, the place was busy and the barmaid seemed very friendly very efficient, However our waitress. who only had three tables, couldn't care less about us. She was busy sitting in a booth in the rear with three other diners.\r
She was not friendly, seemed a little dirty. Next time we will be sitting at the Bar....\r
\r
The prices were cheap, the people, except for our waitress were very friendly..
Pros: Food and Ambience were great
Cons: The waitress was on my top ten alltime"" Worst Waitress's in the World
