good experience, not so good aftereffect 1/31/2009

I was in Pittsburgh in June '08 for a visit home. I live in WA state. I decided I wanted to get my tatoo done. Brandon did a nice design, love the tat. It didn't even really hurt, gave me ointment and advised how to keep it clean, wash at least three times a day, etc. Very nice guy, not knocking him. Well, it has faded a bit and the white part in my red, white and blue double hearts are not white. I wanted to get it touched up by a local artist because I'm getting married in a few months. The artist took a look at it and said the white part will never be white because he said the last artist tried too hard and I seem to have scar tissue underneath the color because he ""tried to make it bulletproof."" So, needless to say, it would be useless to try to get it fixed up a bit. Do not get me wrong, I love my tat and I was told I can come back for color retouch for free...but I'd have to fly cross country. Well, nothing like a second opinion, gonna get another artist in a local shop to check it out. Regardless, would still reccommend SS Tattoo because the atmosphere is great and they make you feel comfortable. Plus, they keep the pain to a minimum. Pros: cool people, nice place Cons: May be my own fault ,checking options. more
