My wife and I were in Dallas for a week of rest and relaxation and stumbled upon Remington's. We were trying to find something besides a chain restaurant and pulled into the parking lot at Remington's because the restaurant parking lot was still pretty full at 8:30pm on a Wed. night. I was looking at the menu posted outside the restaurant when some patrons were exiting. Every person we asked said the food was outstanding and moderately priced. We still weren't sure we would go in when Adam, the manager, came out and answered some of our questions about the menu and invited us in. We were not disappointed. My wife had a specially prepared tilapia that she said was prepared unlike any she that she had ever had and it was DELICIOUS. I took one bite and was begging her for at least 3 or 4 more. I ordered salmon with a delightful lemon sauce with capers that was to die for. I usually order salmon because I know my wife is not a big salmon fan and I don't have to share. I offered a bite to be fair (since I was also enjoying her tilapia) and she commented, "" I think that is the best salmon I have ever tasted."" It was a thinner piece of salmon that was perfectly prepared- juicy and savory. We equally enjoyed each others' entree. The lobster bisque was also wonderful and the salad with homemade vinegarette dressing with blue cheese crumbs was also very good. Are you getting the picture? We had found a dining experience gold mind! All in a warm and cozy, family owned atmosphere. \r
Our server, Kim, was very attentive and provided everything we needed before we felt the need to ask. If you live in Dallas, and you haven't found Remington's, you're missing the boat. If you live out of town, put it on your list to checkout the next time you're in Dallas. We definitely will dine there again when we come to Dallas (and may go back before we leave town)!
