Unlike most companies, we are committed to having a receptionist so that a live person answers the phone and not a machine. She determines who should receive each call and must ask some questions in order to do so effectively. Since this poster did not deal with us much, perhaps they caught us at a bad time. Regardless, it sounds like things did not go as they should have. This tenant should have shared her concerns with our office manager so the source of the problem could be identified and her needs could be addressed. When voicemail messages are left, we strive to return the call within 24 hours. Our maintenance department even meets every week to make sure that all maintenance has been assigned and nothing falls through the cracks.
Pros: We don't use an automated telephone system; you'll always be answered by a live person during business hours.
Cons: Though we do not close for lunch, staff does take breaks and may not always be available.
