We were married on 1/1/09, and Mike's did our cake. Since my husband and I met online, discussing books, we asked Mike to make a cake that looked like a giant fairytale volume lying open on the table, with an inkpot and quill on top. What he created was a cake that some of our guests actually thought was a book. People were totally over the moon about this cake. Of all the little details we planned for the wedding, the cake reaped the most compliments. Or, at least, it was neck-and-neck with the bride! We chose a lemon cake with raspberry buttercream, and not only was the cake stunning, it was absolutely delicious. Their buttercream is to die for. You won't be disappointed if you go with Mike's!
Pros: Gorgous, delicious, not nearly the price I would have expected for something like this.
Cons: You can't have your cake and eat it too.
