At first we were impressed by this place. We looked at ""homes"" and found one we liked. We asked the price and was told they need it from the home office. We placed a $1000.00 deposit. Boy were we surprised when we finally got the price,(weeks later) which was totally out of the ball park. Then the financing. This is the clincher. They make you feel like they care, your credit is not so good...but we (Sterling) can help. Yes help to bury you into a debt that you will never be rid of. A 25 yr loan with adjustable rates and a balloon payment at the end! The balloon payment at the end far exceeds what the value of the trailer (yes folks I said the ""T"" word) is worth. Sterling is in bed with Capitol First Realty (which also has several other companies under its name). They claim that their home office Capitol First Realty makes all the prices on the homes. Common sense would tell you that the sales people would know the price before they even show the place. Then the monthly lot rent (this is where they are digging into your pockets with both hands) is way to high for what your getting. The staff is also rude and ignorant. I witnessed an employee yelling at an elderly couple for being late on lot rent.
Pros: The sales people are pros at taking your money
Cons: The whole company is run by cons
