I'm really surprised about these reviews. I walked in with my family (group of 6) at 8:30 on a Friday and we waited for a table only for about fifteen minutes at the bar with some nice glasses of wine. There was another table of 6 right next to us, so I really don't know what LeeGee is talking about. Maybe they had already filled up when he was trying to get a table?
We had the fried rice b@lls (citysearch thinks "b@lls" is an "inappropriate word") and a salad with roasted grapes that I wasn't too fond of but my husband really loved. I tried a bite of my daughter's soup.Yum! but it was too much to have as an appetizer, at least for one person. We had a very interesting pasta dish with sausage that my husband was nuts over, a juicy roasted chicken and an amazing delicately spiced p0t (p0t is also a bad word) roast to finish up. We couldn't find any room to try a desert.
Our server was very friendly and we saw a lot of him, so again, I'm surprised by the other reviews on here. Go back! We need more places like this in Alameda and especially on Webster street. Alameda seems to be finally be catching up to the rest of the world in terms of a dining scene.
