We took our two dogs to Dee's and didn't have any problems at first. We toured the facility, and everything looked clean. The dogs looked content. We had no problem leaving them there. During our vacation, we checked the webcam frequently. The first thing that we should make note of is the number of dogs in one space. Throughout the day, it is EXTREMELY crowded in the play area. It didn't look like a dog park type atmosphere. The second thing that we realized is that on Sunday, because of the hours, the dogs barely have any time out of their kennel. We didn't see them in the common area until noon. This means that the dog's are in their kennels from seven at night until noon. (A long time for a dog who is trained not to urinate inside) When we got back in town, we picked up the dogs and went home without trouble. The next day, I took my youger dog (6months) out for a walk. Now, to understand the problem, you have to understand my dog's personality. He is the happiest pup you could meet. If a burglar came into our house, he would probably wag his tail and lick him. He rarely barks and I had never heard him growl. During our walk, whenever a jogger or bike rider came within ten yards of us, He growled and barked. This happened for the entire hour long walk at least 20 times. I have since trained the behavior away, mostly... Now as to what happened to create this behavior in my dog, I do not know. I can say that when dogs walked by, he was not freaking out or growling at them. It was only people. I really hope that it is just a reaction to the stress of us leaving or something like that, but I am really not convinced that even makes sense. It would really upset me to learn that someone could do something to an undeserving puppy. We do not plan on leaving our dog's at Dee's again or ever recommending it to anyone else.
