My cat needed a refill for her glaucoma eye drops before we dropped her off at a boarding facility. The first woman I spoke to at 10AM said that she'd looked up her account, everything was all set, and she just needed to fax over the refill. Well, it wasn't that simple. It ended up turning into a 5-hour ordeal with multiple calls to our pharmacy and to the VCA, as well as multiple assurances that the refill would be faxed to the pharmacy within minutes. \r

Finally, at 3PM, someone from the VCA (who didn't leave her name) left a message saying that my cat's prescription could not be refilled because Massachusetts state law says that a cat must be seen at least within a year by the doctor, before obtaining a refill. Wow, they could have just told me that at 10AM.\r
