I transferred care to the midwives when I was 36 weeks pregnant due to my former physician scheduling induction at 37 weeks. I did not want to be induced and there was no medical reason for the induction. My first visit was with Titi, who spent more time in one visit than my former doctor had spent with us during the entire pregnancy. The midwives made sure that we met everyone before I reached 40 weeks, which was very nice. I ended up being induced at 41.5 weeks due to being post date and decreasing fluid levels. Titi started my induction and had a very good bedside manner. Theodorah was there for the rest of my labor and delivery. I cannot say enough positive things about her. I had a very healthy 8lb. 9oz. baby boy. I never had to remind them of my birth plan, it was followed very closely without me ever mentioning it. The only changes from it were either initiated by me or were medically necessary. I felt as though my husband and I were able to make decisions with Theodorah's guidance. She gave us options and let us choose. My labor progressed slowly and we tried everything to kick start it before using pitocin. I felt very comfortable with the care I was receiving the whole time. I would highly recommend using the midwives.
