Based on recomendations from a few riders I ride with regularly, I decided to consider ATA when I was ready to get my dream bike.\r
\r
Husam essentially started off by interviewing me. It was clear he was gathering useful information about what kind of rider I was, what my expectations were about a new bike, and where I was in my research and decision making process. He then took me around the shop and showed me what options were available to me.\r
\r
At other shops I was often relegated to one or two appropriate bikes. But at ATA I walked out of the store with 5 possible frame options to research. This was fine with me since I knew I would be spending significant coin, I wanted to make sure I was getting what I wanted, and having options helped a lot.\r
\r
In addition to reading reviews, I also spent a lot of time just talking to other riders. I was amazed to find out how many other people had bought high-end bikes from ATA that Husam built. Without exception everyone was VERY happy with their decision. So, I made my choice, and asked Husam to build my bike.\r
\r
In about a week I was able to come in for the final fitting and pick up the bike. I stopped in close to closing time for some of the final touches which included a fitcheck. Now, this is very cool. Husam basically does motion-capture of you on the actual bike. He can then analyse it and show you how it actually fits. They can make adjustments if necessary. But it was spot on the first time.\r
\r
During what Husam likes to calls ""the exit interview"" (where he checks the bike over thuroughly before letting me leave) he noticed something about the Zipp crank he didn't like (nothing I noticed). He wouldn't let me leave with it, and instead swaped it for another one. He stayed until atleast an hour after closing to make sure it was right.\r
\r
Since then I have put about 600 miles on the bike, and couldn't be happier with it. It is exactly as Husam promised. And he has earned my trust going forward. \r
Pros: Great choice of high-end equipment. Built right.
Cons: It will not be the cheapest, but it will be the best.
