I recently had my wedding at the Mill on the river. The food was exceptional and so was the service. However, I should have been put off from booking my wedding there when I first went in to meet with the banquet coordinator. I sat in the lobby for almost an hour waiting for her. Another young girl told me she was just finalizing some other work, but I could see her talking to the other manager. I walked by the office to use the bathroom and at one point she was gossiping about the staff. I was really put off about the whole experience, but I couldn't pass up having my wedding at such a beautiful location. It came time for the big day and I was very excited. It was a beatiful Saturday morning this summer and perfect wether. When I arrived I wanted to wait some where so my groom would not see me before the wedding. I was told I could not go downstairs due to the set up crew or wait in the office. because it wolud be too chaotic. Needless to say I wound up waiting outside in the summer heat where 90% of my make up sweat off and I looked awful. It was nice though a server came outside and offered me a beverage. I never saw the blonde manager again until moments before I walked the aisle. She then evaporated again and reappered literally seconds before I had to be introduced. It was horrible. There was only one other function at the same time and it wasn't a wedding, so I'm not sure what she was doing. Maybe she was gossiping again. All in all I would avoid ever having a function there or speaking with their management. They are rude and aren't there for the customers. Food is outstanding and the service was great too.
