Dined here last weekend and had mixed expectations after hearing a little bit of buzz about the new Steakhouse in the East Village. After arriving I was liking the setup they have a butcher shop next door, a fireplace in the lobby, and old Country western Music playing in the dimly lit retaurant. The menu was unique and so we tried a variety of items and wow were we impressed. Started of with the sweetbreads and salad and then I had the Porterhouse that was the featured special, and my guest had the duck which was also very nice. Coming from a fan of the classics Ruth's Chris, Mortons, etc. I thouroughly enjoyed our meal at Cowboy Star and will be back. Definatly worth visiting next time you are in the mood for a great steak!
