Tony Pagano appraised my home and got it terribly wrong. He does not know how to do home appraisals. When he appraised my home, he used comparables from other towns, homes that were nothing like mine and homes that were just listings rather than actual sales. He ignored the home sales right in my own neighborhood. He went out of his way to assess my home at the lowest value possible. His appraisal was so out of line with the real value, that when I reviewed it with the bank they agreed with me and paid to have another appraisal done. The 2nd appraiser valued my home at nearly $100,000.00 more than Tony Pagano.
This is especally important when people use their home equity to retire, send their children to college and do home improvements. When I tried to contact Tony Pagano to discuss his appraisal, he wasn't willing to discuss it with me.
I do not recommend him.
