We're regular patients - called to see if we could get tablets to help our thirteen year old dog because his hips are weak. They wanted to see him, then they wanted to do a blood workup - something we'd just done a year ago. Bill came to $200. Of course they found the endocrine glands might (not certain) be a little off - hormone depletion would be pretty standard in an old dog - or an old person. They wanted us to bring him in to do a two hour blood work-up, stressing our dog and our finances even further. \r

While we were there, the vet also wanted to do a blood work-up for kidney and liver function so he could prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs AFTER he said there appeared to be no inflammation. \r

They seem to be nice enough people but we would like to get advice over the telephone when our dog isn't actually sick.
