Out of all the italian places here in San Antonio, I like this restaurant. The service is always good and the food always hot. Went there for a Sunday lunch and the place was hopping. The mussels in a lemon garlic butter sauce was divine. The calamari was crispy and light. Although we didn't like the homemade chicken soup...it was too salty. The pasta is always cooked aldente, never overcooked and mushy. And the portions are good. You will not leave this place hungry. The waiter maded sure we had warm bread on the table constantly and our tea was glass was never empty. Even though we were stuffed the waiter was nice enough to introduced us to the new dessert sampler trio, he was informative, friendly and provided quick service. Starters can make a great entree. Weekdays they are only open for dinner and the weekends they open around noon for lunch. It is a little pricey, but a great treat for a special occasion.
Pros: Hot food, great service, good portions
Cons: Wait can be long at busy times, not open for lunch everyday
