A friend of mine recommended that I visit the Plumed Serpent to find a wedding dress because of her amazing experience. Over the weekend I went there to look for a wedding dress with my sister and my mom and Allison, the owner, was my consultant. After showing Allison some photos of dresses I liked and explaining to her my likes and dislikes Allison got a sense of my style and picked out dresses for me to try on. The first dress I tried on was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately the dress was well above my price range but Allison found another one that was half the price and just as beautiful. Allison has a great sense of style and added a sash and broach to the dress that really set it off and made it unique. The experience was one that I will never forget. The atmosphere was charming and she spend 2.5 h with us. It is worth the trip from NYC! I didn't end up buying my dress from this shop because I wanted a dress that was less expensive (<$3000) but if money is no limit I would recommend making a visit.
