The Savoy deserves its reputation as one of Kansas City's gems. It has an atmosphere unrivalled at any restaurant I have been to in Kansas City. The 4-H strip is succulent and tender and the lobster tails are absolutely fantastic. The baked potatoes are perfectly cooked and the salads are ice cold--just as they should be. Reservations are recommended--especially if you want one of the few booths in the main dining room--and, my personal recommendation is to ask for Palmer, a waiter who understands how to make your dining experience unforgettable. I have been going to the Savoy personally for over 30 years, so I have many experiences to rate this fine historic restaurant.
