When I first moved to Peoria for school I was delighted to find Sushi popo which regularly provided great sushi (a personal favorite food) and ok service. I am sad to say that in the past two years this has changed. Service became so lax that it was an ongoing joke with friends and family until it got flat out terrible -- for instance, one person receiving their meal and finishing before others were served or vice versa, waiting 20 minutes for drinks, the manager/main waiter clearly forgetting to give orders tot he chefs, the waiter forgetting our credit cards and leaving them at the front desk unattended was the worst. \r \r In the many times I've visited, each time becomes worse, no matter who I'm with. We always kept going because the food was good....but lately the food has been cold as it has been left, forgotten in the kitchen. I have several friends that now refuse to go anymore because they feel personally insulted to have such poor service and I can't disagree. \r \r While the staff have become geniuses with making up excuses, even they are running out of reasons. For example, saying that several orders came in after our own (In a nearly empty restaurant) does not warrant putting those later orders ahead of ours. In my last visit we spent over an hour waiting for out food on a night not even remotely crowded. My sushi came 15 minutes after the meals of my family, whose own food was cold. \r \r I am sorry to say, I won't be returning to restaurant which treats me and everyone else I bring like a second-class citizen who do not warrant even lazy service.
