This used to be my favorite bar in Waltham. Two things have happened recently to make me change my mind. First, the bar tenders tend to ignore you when you want a drink because they are talking to their friends or each other. When sitting at a table, the waitresses are great, though slow. Last time it 15 minutes to get our first round of drinks when the bar was just beginning to fill up. That said, if you are at the bar, the bartenders could care less. Last time I was standing at the bar, it was me and three other people, with two bartenders. It took five minutes to get the bartender to stop talking to his buddy and another 5 for him to pour two pints. When I wanted a second round about twenty minutes later, it took three times as long. The other thing making me leave the place is the music. They bring in some Irish musicians to play live, which is awsome, but they are so loud you can't hear the person next to you. I appreciate the music, but I am not going for the concert. I am going to spend some time with friends. They need to turn down the speakers just enough so that I can hear the person next to me if we shout. \r \r That said, if you are looking for a loud, packed house on a Saturday night, it is the place to be. There are always a lot of people, the beer selection is large, but is all national brews like bud and Sam Adams, and the food it good enough to not make you go somewhere else. Pros: Loud. Crowded. Cons: Loud. Crowded. Slow Service. more
