I have been going to Lucky Dill for about 11 yrs now, my parents started taking me there when I was about 12 yrs old. We have always had great food and I have tried almost everything on the menu (including all the pastrys and chessecake) The food is so good I started taking people from work there and clients who are visiting and no one has ever been dissapointed. The service varies over time and that has to do with the are, when it started all the employees were older and is was more like a mom and pop diner then a deli, once they moved to where they are now it started to feel more like a deli and it became so busy that many high schoolers began working there. If you go during lunch you will almost for sure have better service because the kids who work there are in school and even though lunch time is busy it does not compare to dinner. If you want to talk over dinner this is not the place to go it gets very loud but it is a lot of fun to see everyone having a good time and joking around. I almost always get my dinner to go and I am never dissapointed about that either, it is always just as good as eating there (and you can not say that about a lot of places). The prices are more then fair for what you get, I think it is the best deal around for a sit down meal, now the pastrys might seem a little expensive but there all worth it and here's a tip if your going to buy more then one piece of cheescake just go ahead and order a mini cheescake it is about the same price as two single slices and you can get 4 huge slices or 8 small slices out of it. They dont always have the mini cheescakes on display at the pastry counter but if you ask for one they will get it for you. Overall I really do enjoy this place it is not fancy by any standards and you may only see your server two to three times but you cant beat the food or the price.
Pros: Great food all the time
Cons: packed all the time
