This is the best coffee house in Vancouver, period, and beats most I've been to in Portland as far as the quality of product they serve. I went to Stumptown Roasters for my birthday and was disappointed, but I've never been disappointed at Brewed Awakenings. Their Grande Double MIndbender is the best black coffee I've ever had anywhere. It's absolutely addictive. Plus their pastries are excellent. They have some of the tastiest quickbreads I've ever had, with generous portions. Recently, because of the downturn in the economy, I had to stop going and picking up my usual order on Fridays. After four weeks they still knew who I was and remembered what it was that I usually ordered. They are always very friendly and deserve the tips they get. I can't recommend them more highly.
